If you have a business website you might want to make sure search engines can see your website.? It’s just a suggestion.

I’m working on a client site right now and in “settings -> reading” Search Engine Visibility is set to “Discourage search engines from indexing this site”? Which means that Google will mostly ignore this site.? In fact when searching Google for this company by name this website does come up second, but the meta description below says

A description for this result is not available because of this site’s robots.txt ? learn more.

If you have a business to promote and you want to be found.? Check this setting.? Also if this is set in the “Right Now” box on your dashboard you will see a message that says “Search Engines Discouraged”
